I am an admitted shoe addict, shoe-aholic, whatever you want to label someone that has too many shoes. Yet there is so much that goes with what a shoe represents. Walking in someone’s shoes, being in someone’s shoes, the road travelled in your shoes, the metaphors can go on for quite some time. Shoes tell so much about where you have been, what you are doing, where you are going, and flat out how you see life.

I love this quote from one of the world’s renowned shoe designers, Christian Louboutin:
“A shoe is not only a design, but it's a part of your body language, the way you walk. The way you're going to move is quite dictated by your shoes.”

While this is true in the literal sense, it is also true in the figurative, a great cross between the actuality of our style and our lifestyle. I bounce back and forth between sky high heels, booties, flats and sneakers. I’m a mother of three that requires a variety of hats. Although my days of corporate life are temporarily behind me, my urge to dress as such is not. I love a nice suit, I adore beautifully tailored pants with a crisp blouse, and admire a ___ dress with each requiring just the right shoe to top off the look. How you carry yourself in that shoe accentuates your personality, people’s perception of you, and ultimately how you feel about yourself. I only buy a pair of shoes if I ogle over them, cannot live without them. Obviously there is a bunch to choose so I do have many shoes in my closet! And I love what each shoe says about me, from comfort to classy, from simple to sexy, and from trendy to tailored.

My shoes are the epitome of me. I’m a firm believer that accessories make the outfit, and for me ultimately the shoe. I typically like simple clothes so that my accessories make the statement. When I travel I actually plan my wardrobe around my shoes, one for simplicity of travel and two to make sure my style is on point. But the reality is that my shoes say everything about me, who I am. Through this site (including Instagram and Facebook) I hope to give you insight about what my shoes and shoes across the world are saying along with great shoes tips and purchasing.
